1. Objective

To establish the guidelines for the submission and selection of photographs addressing the two themes of the call for entries, valuing the art of photography; to promote cultural and artistic exchange among photographers from diverse backgrounds; to offer selected authors a platform for national and international visibility through an audiovisual exhibition at the Campos do Jordão International Photography Festival; and, finally, to stimulate dialogue on the multiple interpretations of light in both natural and urban contexts.

2. Participants

2.1. The call is open to amateur and professional photographers anywhere of any age group.

3. Theme "Water”

The second Campos de Luz - Campos do Jordão International Photography Festival, invites all photography lovers to another challenge.

This year, our lenses will be searching for water.

After all, the theme comes from the name of these weeping mountains: Amantikir in the indigenous language.

The Tupi legend tells of a beautiful princess who falls in love with the Sun—with Light, just like us photographers—and who, victim of the Moon's jealousy, was condemned to live in the shadows of the dense forests, where her tears for her lost lover formed the torrents of the rivers that spring from this lush mountain range.

Water, therefore, is the theme. Water in its various states: vapor, frost, rain, clouds... our bodies are sixty percent water... these mountains were once the bed of oceans... inspiration is, therefore, within and before us!
